About Us
The Dinaric Arc Ecoregion is a five-year project (2007-2012) implemented by WWF Mediterannean Programme Office and the five ministries responsible for nature protection in the DAE countries. The day-to-day project is the responsibility of the Project Leader, Regional Scientific Coordinator, GIS Expert, and five National Project Coordinators in Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Albania. The core team reports to WWF MedPO Conservation Programme Director, and to the Dinaric Arc Initiative (UNDP, UNESCO, IUCN, FAO, Euronatur, SNV, CoE) that has the advisory role on the project and acts as a resource at the level of the network and at individual institution level. The Scientific Committee consists of the representatives of institutions/authorities responsible for nature protection, who ensure data integration and validation. Inputs of the WWF MedPO team include the expertise on marine biodiversity, freshwater issues, forestry, capacity building on PA management, communications, information system, administration, and finance.
